Gidi by Diamond Platnumz is the latest hit from the talented Tanzanian King of Bongo. The track comes at a time when his 2021 tracks Naanzaje and Iyo are still soaring higher even in 2022.
The producer of the video intended to give it a cowboy vibe similar to that found in South American music, Mexico, and the like.
In the video, Diamond Platnumz is dressed in a cowboy outfit while a girl almost identical to the lady in his JEJE video dances seductively on his body.
One unique thing about this video is how the Iyena hitmaker fashioned his hair in a rather bizarre way.
We like the fact that the girls in the video did a synchronized dance which is comparable to Mexican dance moves in order to match the video’s context. You will also notice that the singer adorned himself with lustrous jewelry probably golden.
On the downside, the GIDI MP3 is too short, lasting only about two and a half minutes. The instrumental is an in-house product of Wasafi producers. Additionally, the instrumental manifests a touch of Mariachi ensembles native to South America.
Moreover, the song’s beat features guitarróns, some vihuela, violins, and trumpets just to make it even more cowboy-like. On the other hand, Producer Slowman directed the video. He is a legendary video producer in the industry.
When it comes to the shooting location, the visuals were shot in South Africa, Réunion, and a couple of scenes in Tanzania.
