Here is the story behind Suzanna by Bien and his team. Kenya’s favorite music band made an appearance on Citizen Tv’s hottest teen show 10/10 for the #MidnightTrain campaign last night.
This came hours after they released their most awaited new year’s single after a hint on Instagram two days ago.
The new song is titled, Suzanna. The Sol group says it’s the first and one of the songs in their upcoming album, Midnight Train.
Suzanna comes after an announcement about the new recording deal agreement with Universal Music Africa on 31/01/2020.
The brand new hit is a classic with its visuals shot in Nigeria. Milele FM radio presenters Jalang’o and Alex Mwakideu also hosted Sauti Sol still on Suzanna promotion.
The song pokes on the controversial ‘champagne’ or bubbly life of women as funded by elderly men or their sponsors.
Additionally, the video has a 1970’s feel with the guitars and background. Bien comments that it is just a way to reminisce about the good old days of how chic Africans were.
Also, Polycarp adds that there’s maturity in the album with every song touching on relatable issues in the society. What is more, the award-winning afro-pop band boasts of 11 years as professional artists.
